Studio and Design Assistant Job Description

Hours: Approximately 10-15

Days: Monday, Friday, and some Saturdays or Sundays based on our needs and your availability.

Primary Responsibilities:

Mondays - Clean up and reset the studio from the weekend’s weddings. Tasks include: Emptying vessels, deconstructing installation mechanics, cleaning candle holders, dropping off plant material to be composted, and light cleaning. 

Fridays - Assisting in design work for weekend weddings. Tasks may include: designing floral jewelry and boutonnieres, pulling flowers for installations, creating flower arrangements, prepping candles, and studio clean-up.

Saturday/Sunday - Wedding Set-up and Breakdown. This is based on our staffing needs and your availability. 

Set-up tasks can include: Setting out arrangements and candles, helping with installations, and loading and unloading vehicles. 

Breakdown Tasks can include: Retrieving all vessels and candles from the venue after the event and breaking down any installations. A one-hour time frame for most breakdowns.

Pay: Mondays and Fridays - $18/hr to start

        Wedding Set-ups: $100 minimum or $18/hr - whichever is greater

        Wedding Breakdowns: $150 flat rate
