Spring Wedding in Chapel Hill and Saxapahaw
I met Chris my first year of farming when he was working for Raleigh City Farm and running a new start-up farmers market in downtown Raleigh. We continued to work together over the years and when Chris and his fiancé, Jess, reached out about doing their wedding flowers is was an instant YES.
I knew they valued local agriculture and having locally grown flowers was a natural fit for their wedding. Mixing a traditional Church wedding with a music venue for their reception and focusing on as much local products and small producers as they could, showed that weddings are truly a personal representation of both values, history and family.
They had a beautiful and bold vision for their reception space at the Haw River Ballroom that was so much fun to execute. Keeping the tables simple with votives and foraged river rocks from the Haw the focus turned towards dramatic greenery installations with hanging candles.
With excellent planning from La Fete, gorgeous venues and a commitment to local, this was definitely one of my favorite weddings to be a part of.
