No-till bed prep

In the high tunnel and caterpillar tunnels I gave up the rototiller over a year ago. I wish I could say the same about our field beds, but I’m just not there yet. 

I rely on pulling out crops by hand or using some type of mulching mower, landscape fabric or heavy tarps, compost, broadfork and a rake. It does take a little longer than just running a tiller through it, but the soil is so much nicer.
